Minnesota Energy Resources employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why employees chose to donate a total of $5,000 to three Minnesota charities.
The donations are part of the Minnesota Energy Resources Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
Minnesota Energy Resources employees met both their fourth-quarter goals and their year-end goals. Thanks to a tie vote, three charities will receive funding:
- Habitat for Humanity will receive $2,500 to help build affordable housing in partnership with people in need.
- North Country Trail Association and Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota will each receive $1,250 to develop and protect land for trails in the state.
These organizations are just a few examples of the dozens of nonprofit organizations Minnesota Energy Resources is proud to support every year.
